The solution is good but recently, we have stopped using this product because we were not using it extensively. If you are using Data Integration Hub, it should be as a centralized repository, where it can communicate with many systems. For our current client, we are only using it for two source systems, which are not driving big revenue. For this reason, we stopped using Data Integration Hub and started publishing the news directly. At present, I am not sure how many sources it can communicate with (how many multiple connectors are available). Nowadays, they're coming up with many connectors. It can communicate with all of the Cloud connectors and Cloud databases. If they could leverage social media connectors, I think that would be great a great asset. If they added this feature, it would be much more scalable.

The most valuable features are functionality and support I would like to have easier integration with cloud platforms. I have been using PowerExchange for a few years. This is a stable solution. PowerExchange is easy to scale. We have about 20 users, who are mostly developers. We are very…

"Its data cleansing capabilities are very valuable. The match and merge and the audit trail functionalities are very good."

"The feature of auto-onboarding of the assets, enterprise assets via EDC is good." "The solution is stable."

"The Provisioning tool is something that is really handy for everyone. It is my pick as the best feature."

"The most valuable features of Informatica MDM are it is cloud-enabled and has all the elements that are supposed to have in terms of MDM as a solution. All the features that are there. It is very well-integrated with any of the SAP and non-SAP applications. It is quite user-friendly. The user experience that you receive in Informatica MDM is quite good."

"This product is easy to install and it can be done in a few hours."

"The product's initial setup phase was not complex. The tool is easy to install onto any of the servers, and you can integrate it."

"The agentless RCDC enablement through PowerExchange is a great idea and has worked very well so far."

"From the product feature or product capability perspective, the aspects around integration, transformation, and standardization are valuable. It's fairly easy to use. It has a GUI-based interface."

"The main benefit of PowerExchange is its native real-time capabilities. Competing tools are counting on third-party packages or Oracle to offer real-time capabilities. However, Informatica has a native ability to scan the data on the file system level and capture the changes almost instantly when I push it to the consumers. The solution has a powerful built-in replication engine."

"It is a scalable and versatile solution." "The most valuable feature is connectivity to data sources." "It is easy to integrate the solution with other tools."

Cons

"The pricing model is problematic."

"Needs to implement the new workflow with simple steps and a quick visualization with a 360 view of the data."

"There could be a lot more application integration." "There are a small number of UI bugs that occur on occasion."

"One area that could use improvement is the speed of the web interfaces. At present, they are very slow. I think it is essential that we are original and robust on-premises."

"The advertising makes promises about data analytics that it does not keep."

"Informatica Axon needs more integration connectors so that it can connect to systems and different kinds of datasets."

"In terms of what could be improved, they need to create a rules repository. Business rules for the attributes that you have, keeping them in that central repository, and governance of them is something which Axon is lacking a bit. The Informatica Data Quality tool actually caters to that, so that's probably why they have not built that up in the Axon, but it is definitely something that can be built in to this product, as well."

"Pushdown optimization could be improved." "Informatica is very expensive in all aspects, so the pricing is something that could be improved." "I would like the stability to improve." "The connectivity with T24 core banking could be improved." "The solution needs better integration with other tools." "The product's high costs can be an area of concern where improvements are required."

"They should make it quick and easy for use of citizen data integration or for people or integrators developing at the customer side. They could be development teams within the business team. For them, the product owners can consider making it a little bit more seamless and a little bit more democratized."

"I would like to have easier integration with cloud platforms."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is determined by the number of licensed users as well as the number of Core CPUs."

"It is expensive. That's probably the biggest drawback. The business has heartache paying the license, but that's mainly because they don't realize what value it brings. The key thing about the MDM solution is that it is in the backend, and no one sees what it is actually doing. You don't know it is a problem until it is not there."

"Our customers sometimes are able to negotiate a much better price for Informatica Cloud Data Integration based on their relationship with the vendor."

"Informatica Axon is expensive." "The pricing is quite flexible."

"So, there are plans for licensing. There are subscription-based and usage-based licenses. Also, there are licenses for exceptional analytics, etc. In short, there are different models of licensing for every enterprise."

"Informatica Cloud Data Integration is famously known for its high price. The vendor targets large enterprises, and not medium or small companies. These large companies, and organizations, handle large amounts of data. If you go into any large bank, such as American or Canadian banks, these banks use this solution because it is more reliable, secure, and has more functionality."

"We switched to Informatica PIM because it was cheaper than the Oracle solution. It is cheaper initially, but they will bundle it later. This is what happens in the industry."

"There are licensing and connector costs. Basically, Informatica is pay-as-you-use." "The product is not very expensive."

"The cost of PowerExchange is reasonable. It does not rely on complicated formulas or unrealistic equations. The pricing model is straightforward. There is one component, and real-time integration is included. Some other solutions require purchasing additional modules or third-party plugins for this capability."

"It's expensive. In fact, nobody would buy any product of Informatica if the price was the only consideration. It costs money, and it doesn't come cheap, but it provides value for money in many ways."

"Many users don't prefer to use the product, considering the high costs attached to the licensing part of the solution."

"An annual package license fee is required." "There is a need to pay towards the licensing cost of the product. It is an expensive product."
